Apparently the name of the house comes from the saying that one could fire a shotgun through the front door and the pellets would fly cleanly through the house and out the back door. All of the rooms in the house are lined up one after the other with no hallways. Hearing that this type of home even existed was news to my ears.
This little "shotgun" house made me fall head over heels. The decor is done with impeccable taste and I don't think there is a room that I didn't admire.
See for yourself...
The color scheme of the exterior made my heart melt.
The shutters are divine.
The parlor bookcases and sitting areas. Even the word parlor takes my breath away.
Bath one. That mirror is exquisite! And that faucet?...forgeddaboudit! Haha!
You know the kitchen couldn't be bad.
A little office nook
Um...do I even need to talk about the level of genius this is? The door? The chalkboard?
I'm speechless.
The back porch. I envision myself drinking some sweet tea right here...
The master bedroom and sitting area. Can we discuss that mantle?
As I wipe the saliva from my chin...I know gross...but funny!
Guest bath
A room fit for a princess.
And last but certainly not least...the courtyard.
Be still my heart.
