What movies take you away to that special place?

Do you ever just put on a movie that you've seen about a million times, but the scenery and story just take you away from your sofa off to that magical place for about 2 hours?  I do this all of the time with a few select movies.  Just watching them relaxes me.

I don't get the chance to do it as often as I'd like to of course, but when I do, it makes me happier.  Is this the norm?  Not all movies do this for me.  Just a handful.

The Notebook is one of them.  The scenery and costume design in this movie make you feel as if you are actually there.  I love to escape into that movie every chance I can get.  Which ones do it for you?

I should mention that I love the house he built for her ; )

  1. Thanks for dropping by my blog. The notebook is fabulous....the scenery, the story...LOVE IT!!!!

  2. That is indeed a classic love story. The way they looked at one another, longed for one another. A wonderful movie.

  3. Interesting things on your blog !
    Have a nice weekend,

  4. The Notebook is my favorite movie...ever! The scenery (including Ryan) is breathtaking. Thanks so much for stopping by & giving me a pat on the back. Haha! I'm so flattered to see my button in your sidebar. When you get a button, I'll put you in mine for sure! You have the cutest posts & best tunes.

  5. I now need to rush out and get this movie, how did I miss it? Wishing you a perfect weekend, Coryanne

  6. This is too funny! I've just stumbled across your blog and the first post I read is about The Notebook - it is my all time favourite book, and it was on TV here in Australia last night. I've read the book about 5 times in the last 3 or 4 years, but have only watched the movie twice. My hubby brought me the DVD when I finished reading the book. Such a beautiful story, and yes the house he built is wonderful! She is so lucky :)
